It is a cool, bright morning here in the Northeast and so, once again, we’ve gathered our dogs and done the usual podcast about whatever we’re thinking about right now, which this week was The Chosen. We work through Dallas Jenkins’ explanation for why the tiny pride flag spotted on set is no big deal. We have a hard time thinking of the words (at least I do) and wonder together about whether we will watch Season Four when it comes out. We also have another technical mishap where we have to stitch two separate recordings together…or rather, we send it to Nick Lannon and he does it and we thank him…Thank You Nick!!! Hope it makes your day into what it’s going to be. Oh, and here is the second part over on Demotivations.
This last week I wrote about The Chosen here. And about the Culture War in general here. And the book of Judges here. And general complaints about the universe here. And yesterday I blogged about the lections here. This week I am determined to finish working through Sheila Gregoire’s She Deserves Better and, so help me, I’m going to really get cracking on our marriage book. I say “our” because I’m doing most of the typing, but Matt comes in occasionally and adds a flourish here and there. All the content flows out of all our years of marriage counseling, so it belongs to us both, I am also committed to sleeping in one day, and cleaning out my sunroom.
I like this a lot. I wish we could all just agree to get along–we can’t, but I wish we could.
