Good Food Brings People Together

Jesus knew that the aroma of good food brings people together. That may be one reason He described Himself as the “Bread of Life” (John 6:35). He knew when you are hungry, nothing or no one will stop you from enjoying a delicious meal. Once you get a taste of the meal Jesus prepared for you, you will never go hungry again.  His bread of life is so fulfilling you will invite others to dine with you at His dinner table.

Taste and See How Good God Is

Everyone has recommended a great restaurant from time -to -time. A popular TV Show featuring a food critic who drives all over America tasting food in some of the least known food joints. Many of these restaurant owners have experienced a huge increase in hungry customers. As good as their dishes may taste, none of these chefs and cooks can serve you a meal that can fill you up for a lifetime. God wants you to taste and see how good He is (Psalm 34:8). Once you do this, then tell someone else about him! Lines of hungry people should be lined around the block outside His churches.

People travel all over the world to try the food at five-star restaurants, fast food franchises and hole-in-the-wall joints, simply because someone told them the food is good. We as Believers who have tasted of His goodness must tell someone who is malnourished about the Bread of Life called Jesus. This loving gesture can help feed someone’s faith at a critical time in their life. In my book, “Faith Fuel for Your Journey, I talk about how God shows up through others right on time to fill up our tank when we are running low on our faith.

Food is a Multi-Million Dollar Industry

The food industry is a multi-billion-dollar enterprise. One of my clients from my BeInspired Today TV Show, Chef William Yee who is the owner of L.A. Omelets and the executive director of The Southern California Chapter of The American Culinary Federation. Through filming his show, A Taste of Music, I have learned so much from him and his various chefs. One of the first things I learned is that “good food brings people together”, which inspired me to write this article. Here are some other things I learned:

  • Multi-millionaire chefs and restaurants utilize marketing and advertising to capture the attention of their audience and influence their customers to spend millions at their establishments.
  • No matter the cuisine, people will pay top dollar to dine at their restaurant if the food is good.

The Blessing of Food and Family

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I look forward to eating delicious oven-baked turkey, cornbread dressing, collard greens, and various deserts, especially sweet potato, and pecan pies! Most of all, I enjoy celebrating that important day with my family and loved ones. Many of them I don’t get to see during the rest of the year. One thing for sure is the sweet aroma of a delicious Thanksgiving dinner brings everyone from near and far together on that day.  That is just the way the Lord wants it to be.

Airline tickets are rapidly being purchased and will amass millions of dollars just for Thanksgiving alone. The grocery stores will make a large percentage of their annual revenue during the holiday season.  This is all due to the unyielding desire for people to eat delicious meals with those they love. Don’t forget to invite Jesus to your holiday dinner table. He stands at your door and knocks to come in and have supper with you (Rev. 3:20). Ultimately, God wants His people, especially those who are lost to know He is the Only One who can satisfy their hunger and “The Bread of Life” is free of charge.

I hope my article is a blessing to you and helps you to BeInspired Today.
